Prepared Foods
The Epicure Market is famous for it’s prepared foods. By prepared foods, we mean foods that are fully cooked, refrigerated, and ready for you to take home. They can be frozen for future use, or refrigerated for immediate use. The prepared foods case offers over 30 feet of soups, sauces, salad dressings and individual meals.
Our soups are made right here, in our kitchens, using the same recipes from 1945. They taste like Mama used to make them. From Chicken Noodle, Matzoh Ball and Gefilte Fish through Lobster Bisque, Cream of Mushroom and Chicken-in-a-Pot, you will find a wonderful assortment of soups each and every day. On any given day we offer over 25 types of soups.
Our chef also makes wonderful Italian sauces, such as Marinara, Pommodoro and Veal Bolognese. Just add the pasta, and dinner is done!
Our salad dressings and sauces, using the finest ingredients, will dress your salad or pasta with class and distinction. We make our own, all of them, including Balsamic Vinaigrette, Creamy Garlic and Imported Roquefort. Sauces such as Pesto, Honey Mustard and Creamy Horseradish will delight you.
Chef Hector (he’s been with us for 30 years) makes stir-fry sauces and marinades for meats and fish. He also makes our Tiramisu and Tres Leches. All this while supervising the kitchen that creates all the wonderful prepared foods for the store.
